Clinical Observations on Right Precordial qrS Pattern

Abstract
|
|
|
Clinical observations were made on forty three cases with a qrS pattern in right precordial leads seen among 25,000 cases for the past fifteen years a´. the Kyungpook University Ho~pitai.
The overall incidence of cases right precordial qrS pattern was found to be 0. 17 per cent. These twenty one cases had abnormal left axis deviation, three cases abnormal left axis deviation and QS pattern in lead III. two cases right axis deviation and seventeen cases no axis deviation.
The incidence of cardiovascular diseases as the underlying disease was higher in those cases with axis deviation than with normal axis, but that of arteriosclerotic heart disease was gaite lower in all cases except in those with left axis deviation and QS pattern in lead III.
Although the incidence of left axis deviation was somewhat high, there may be other :actors evoking qrS pattern in right precordial leads except abnormal left axis deviation, antero-septal myocardial infarction, septal fibrosis or sevre clockwise rotation due to right ventricu;ar hyper-trophy.
